SONY XPERIA Z SUMMER SOAKER

Gawker Media's rooftop was transformed into an aqua-fueled battlefield complete with inflatable bunkers and balloon launchers for the #SonySummerSoaker. The water-resistant Sony Xperia Z documented the wet and wild event with ease and was repeatedly dunked into a water tank to show its strength against the typical phone-killer.
Studio@Gawker teamed up with Sony to promote their new Xperia Z, with an emphasis on its unique water-resistance and durability.
For the Summer Soaker event, I met with Studio@Gawker's event team to organize the alteration of Gawker's rooftop into a turfed, colorfully wet battlefield, along with all other aspects of the party (budgets, catering, staffing, legal contracts, waivers and party execution . During the event, I managed the party, photographer, catering and bar-tending staff, all while making sure that the production company got the shots we needed for our final event recap video.
