I helped produce the ESPN the Magazine Rivalry Issue Intro page. John Korpics had an old boxing poster in mid as inspiration. I worked with the editors of the issue to get each story’s headlines. Then, delivered them to the very talented Ross MacDonald, who typeset them by hand to create this vintage looking poster used to kick off the feature well.
